Guwahati — For the first time Assam Don Bosco University (ADBU) is hosting a meeting of Vice Chancellors and/or their representatives, Friday 27 March.

Over 70 Vice Chancellors or representatives from West Bengal and Northeast India are participating in the meeting organised by NEHU (North Eastern Hill University) at ADBU Azara campus.

There is also separate meeting scheduled for some 100 Directors of AICTE approved technical institutions with experts from University Grants Commission and AICTE at the same venue.

The participants will deliberate upon issues related to the implementation of Choice Based Credit System and credit framework for skill-based vocational courses.

Commenting on the august gathering, ADBU Registrar Dr Basil Koikara says, “This is a singular privilege and honour for our university to welcome heads of higher education from this region.”

Directors of ADBU Schools of Technology and Social Sciences as well as Heads of Departments welcomed the VCs, their representatives and Directors of Technical Institutions and assist the delegates for the smooth running of the meetings.

Also ADBU student volunteers along with faculty members are available at designated locations to take care of registration and facilitation at meeting venues.

ADBU is the first private university in Assam established in 2008.
