Salt Lake City: A group of five Indian students on the Near East and South Asia Undergraduate Exchange Program (NESA UGRAD) launched the first edition of the newsletter on April 3, reflecting their year-long stay in United States.

These students are representing India at a forum of around 81 students from different parts of the world.

The NESA UGRAD exchange program picks young student leaders from different countries and sponsor them to experience United States and are placed at different prestigious Universities.

Abhishek Patil, Beulah Supriya, Mohammed Shanoob, Pritam singh and Daud Arif are from Mumbai, Hyderabad, Kerala, West Bengal and New Delhi respectively.

Their publication is aimed toward providing a glimpse of how is it to stay in the United States.

Since the exchange programme expects students involvement in various community and social engagements, students describe how these activities help them adapt need of community involvement.

Students also had to adjust to the class room environment as things are different here in United States, twocircles.net reported.

The Indian squad also attended the re-entry workshop organized by US Department of State and WORLDLEARNING.

The workshop provided us a great platform to have a flashback of what all we learned in the past year and also helped us translate our insights into future plans, said Daud, one of the NESA UGRADs.

Once they return in May, they would be expected to put in their efforts and build their community.
