Bhopal: The Archdiocese of Bhopal organized unique Bible hand writing event in Hindi in which all 1334 chapters of the Bible were reproduced in a bid to introduce the local population about the manner in which the Bible used to be written in the ancient time here on Sunday.

The participants braving heavy rain reached the four identified venues in the diocese to join what the organizers termed as grant event in the history of the Archdiocese of Bhopal.

The Bible Mitra team, which is a group of Priests, sisters and lay people arranged this event to facilitate the believers especially the youth to get a feeling of the hand writing Bible in their local language, said Fr Suman Kumar Tirkey.

Fr Tirkey is the president of Bible Mitra in the diocese. “Each participant”, he told mattersindia.com came with own holy Bible and we only assigned them the respective chapters they needed to write”.

“Many participants were in queue but unfortunately we could not accommodate them”, he regretted adding “but they too enjoyed watching others writing it”.

Archbishop of Bhopal , Dr. Leo Cornelio who also reached one of the venues – St Joseph Co-Ed School campus – blessed the participants.

He said that I support the holy cause and my good wishes will be always there with the participants for coming out with good output along with spiritually stronger soul. The bible teaches us the art of living our lives more positively, and this platform is an excellent opportunity to inculcate the teachings of bible, while writing the chapters, he added.

The hand written copy of the Bible, Father Suman said would preserved in the record of the Archdiocese. The Hindi version of the bible will also be uploaded in the website – http://biblemitr.jayesu.com/.

This is the website through which Bible Mitr Team put all the information in Hindi under one umbrella for the devotee.
