The audio of KI & KA fulfils expectations and is loaded with quite a few chartbusters and songs that have the capacity to stay for a while.

Most of R.Balki’s ventures might not exactly boast of chartbusters and the audio is by and large situational, keeping in line with the script, like we saw in ENGLISH VINGLISH, PAA and SHAMITABH etc. However, one does expect his upcoming KI & KA to carry a few chartbusters, with main stream commercial stars like Kareena and Arjun being leads and seeing names like Meet Bros, Mithoon as music directors!

It’s a chartbusting start that is provided through an already chartbusting rocking club dance number, High Heels‘ by Yo Yo Honey Singh and Jaz Dhami. Meet Bros Anjjan are at their creative best as they totally refurbish this super hit number with Aditi Singh Sharma doing a good job. Kumaar chips in with apt lyrics that fit in with the spirit of song.

The soothing, soft romantic number, ‘Ji Huzoori‘ (means saying yes to everything) is a lovely heart-warming, soulful number that strikes due to its smooth, flowing rhythm, superb background arrangements and soft chorals. Sayeed Quadri’s lyrics are just excellent. Mithoon impresses with his vocal prowess and Deepali chips in adequately.

Meet Bros Anjjan come up with an interesting, entertaining introduction for the male lead, Arjun Kapoor, through the very apt, ‘Most Wanted Munda‘. The nice rock and roll rhythm ( reminiscent of Amitabh’s ‘Mard Taangewaala‘ at the start) and superb rap by Earl Edgar with lovely background female chorals add to the charm and bring a smile.

Kabir Most Wanted Munda‘ is a superb remix which makes for a good second hear.
Balki’s regular veteran composer Illaiyaraaja’s ‘Foolishq‘ is a very ‘league se hatke‘ romantic duet and impresses on all fronts. Lovely singing by Shreya and Armaan, nice sweet lyrics, fresh tune and good arrangements, all combine to conjure up a good number.

Pump It‘ (The Workout Song) is nice, energetic, rhythmic, playful with lovely metallic and electronic beats. Yash Narvekar (with good support by the composers) does a fine job behind the mike, although his vocals might not exactly suit Arjun Kapoor.

In a nutshell, the audio of KI & KA fulfils expectations and is loaded with quite a few chartbusters and songs that have the capacity to stay for a while. Our picks are, ‘High Heels’, Ji Huzoor’, ‘Most Wanted Munda’ . The popular audio should provide a good platform for the film to open well when it releases all over on 1st  of April !
