Manipur: The Manipur Students Association Delhi (MSAD) organized a Solidarity March at at Manipur Bhawan in the national capital on June 5 to show support to the peoples’ movement for implementing the ILPS in Manipur.

The MSAD organized the march to express support to the All Political Parties delegates including CM O Ibobi who are in New Delhi to meet with the President to get approval for the three bills aimed at protecting the indigenous population of the state.

The MSAD, meanwhile questions the intention of the Manipur politicians, asking the delegates whether they are in Delhi for vacation when entire Manipur is in chaos with people including students taking the streets.

In a press statement issued by the organization, the MSAD vice-president Yaiphaba khangembam says that the people need to transform themselves for a better Manipur and not be dependent on any politician, Northeast Today reported.

Giving a clarion call for solidarity among the hills and the plains, the MSAD said that it stands for Manipur and that both the hills and valley can’t afford the pangs of separation.

MSAD urged all to resolve any difference peacefully adding that Manipur would be better in a united spirit. The MSAD also demand the release of all the arrested protestors and to stop police atrocities.
