Bhopal: The police in Madhya Pradesh, central India, have arrested three people on charges of sedition after a school diary carried a wrong map of India.

The diary distributed to the students of Green Bells Public School in Shahdol district carried the map that excluded parts of Jammu and Kashmir.

The arrested were school owner Mohammed Sharif, principal Govindchandra Das and owner of the printing press A K Agarwal.

All three were sent to jail on a complaint lodged by a Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha activist.

According to the police, Sharif has admitted it was a mistake.
