Rome: A five-day art exhibition starting from September 1 is being held in Italy by a Catholic priest from India. Fr. Sabu Mannada belonging to the congregation of Missionary Congregation of the Blessed Sacrament (MCBS), is conducting his second art exhibition in Lodi, near Milan.

More than 22 titles are on show including The Holy Hug, The Divine Touch,The Valley of Life, The Wings of Freedom and The Time Stopped. The paintings depict the amazing bond between man and nature.

Fr. Sabu hails from Kerala and was ordained as a priest in the year 2003. After spending three years as a tutor at the seminary in Athirampuzha in Kerala , he studied Painting at the RLV College of Music and Fine Arts in Thripunithara, Kerala.

He was later posted to Rome and has presently completed 7 years serving in different parishes in Italy. Along with his pastoral duties , Fr. Mannada also completed his degree in Arts from Fine Arts Accademy of L’Aquila, Italy. He is currently serving as  parish priest in the diocese of Milan.

Fr. Mannada has dedicated this year’s art exhibition to the people who lost their lives in the recent earthquake in Italy.
