Kolkata – A recent publication in Kolkata with a galaxy of eminent names of personalities in the various fields of art and culture hopes to promote the muses through academic exchange and research.

With scientific and academic writings in English, Hindi and Bengali languages the Wisdom Speaks journal published by Indian National Forum of Art and Culture (INFAC) which claims to be a peer-reviewed journal plans to do just that.

The Journal editor Dr Nupur Ganguly writes in the first editorial, “ the need for a trend setting tri-lingual multi-discipline and peer-reviewed journal covering the fields of Architecture, History (inclusive of Social Sciences, Literature, Performing Arts, Philosophy and Visual Arts was long felt by the management of INFAC.”

Chairman and founder trustee of INFAC Advocate Tapash Gan Choudhury adds, “core and essence of the journal s to publish research based articles in its operative fields to make it beneficial and useful to its readers.”

The 108-page A4 size journal is christened “Wisdom Speaks’ by one of INFAC peers, the eminent scholar and philosopher Mr Ajay Bhattacharya to highlight the wisdom of the scholars as concentrated in their thinking may find expression in the journal.

Listed among 23 scholarly articles in the first issue of the journal are 16 articles in English language while three pieces are in Hindi and six in Bengali languages.

Besides 11 eminent scholars from reputed national and international institutions of learning and art, there are seven academicians and experts in the newly constituted editorial board.

The current editor Dr Nupur Ganguly is Assistant Professor of Vocal Music Department at Rabindra Bharati University Kolkata.

The convener and publisher of the journal is former Principal Correspondent at Press Trust of India and former President, Calcutta Press Club Mr. Shyamal Baran Roy.
