Bengaluru: A seminarian belonging to the congregation of Jesus the Divine Healer (JDH) died in a road accident in Bengaluru on February 7.

Brother Augustine, a second-year philosophy student of Khrist Jyoti College in the city, was returning to his religious community after classes when a speeding truck ran over him around 12:30 pm. He was 23.

After post mortem at Bowring Hospital his body was brought to Vanashran Monestry in Thambu Chettipalaya on the outskirts of Bengaluru, capital of Karnataka state.

Brother Augustine belongs to Tuticorin in Tamil Nadu.

His family members and the founder of the congregation and others from Tamil Nadu have reportedly rushed to Bangalore.

They have planned to take the body to his native place for the last rites.

As per the information the family members and the founder and community are reaching Bengaluru and the mortal remains will be taken to TN for last rites.

JDH is a pious association based at Divine Healer Nagar, Virallipatty, 12 km from Dindigul, a town in Tamil Nadu. It was started by Father A Joseph Victor, a former member of Heralds of Good News.

The association aims to raise priests, who are faithful to their call and committed to the Church’s healing ministry.
