New Delhi: In yet another shocking incident, a woman and her seven-year-old son were found dead at their home in New Jersey, the United States.

The victims were 40-year-old N Sasikala , and her son Anish Sai, their family, in Prakasam district, said on Friday.

On Thursday evening, N. Hanumantha Rao, husband of Sasikala, was left shocked when he found the bodies while he returned home from work.

Hanumantha Rao and Sasikala both were software professionals. Sasikala used to work from home.

The couple had been living in the US for nine years.

Reacting to the incident, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, N Chandrababu Naidu expressed his condolences to the family members on micro-blogging site Twitter and wrote,”Pained to hear about the killing of Sasikala & son Sai in New Jersey, US. My condolences to the family members.”

Sambasiva Rao, a member of Andhra Pradesh state legislative assembly from Prakasam district, spoke to representatives of Telugu Association of North America (TANA) over the phone about the incident. He said the mother and her son were strangulated to death, India.com reported.

However, this is not the first attack on Indian which has come to light.

A few days back, an Indian Catholic priest was stabbed inside a Melbourne church by a 72-year-old Italian man while leading the Sunday mass.

As per the reports of leading news agency ANI, the offender told the priest that because he was Indian, he must be a Hindu or a Muslim and therefore can’t be saying mass.

Earlier last month, 32-year-old Indian engineer Srinivas Kuchibhotla, was killed by 51-year-old US Navy veteran Adam Purinton who opened fire at him and his friend Alok Madasani at a bar in Kansas, yelling “get out of my country”.
