New Delhi: A 15-year-old boy from Kerala has become the new sensation in India mesmerizing millions of music lovers with is soulful voice.

Vaishnav Girish, a native of Kodungallur in Trichur district, received standing ovation when he gave audition for Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Little Champ recently.

His audition performance has gone viral on the internet where he is already star with more than 400,000 likes on his Facebook page.

He sang ‘Bin Tere’ from ‘I Hate Love Stories’ for the audition process. The topnotch performance by the mundu-wearing teenager took the judges by surprise. He was deeply engrossed in singing the romantic number paying no attention to audience at the studio. When he ended, the judges and contestants were on their feet cheering.

His spectacular performance brought tears in the eyes of some grand jury members. Equally impressed were the mentors of the show Himesh Reshammiya, Neha Kakkar and Javed Ali.

The video of Vaishnav’s latest television gig has garnered more than 14 million views in about 48 hours.
Vaishnav is the second son of A K Girish Kumar, an officer of Canara Bank, Kaipamangalam Branch, and Mini V Menon, a lawyer in High Court of Kerala.

His elder brother G Krishnanunni, now works overseas.

Being much interested in music from his early ages, he was trained from the age of 6.

He has won many prizes in the school, district and state level competitions across Kerala.

His major achievement is Indian Idol Junior which was telecast in Sony TV. He won also the Malayalam reality show named “Surya Singer 2″ conducted by Surya TV in 2014.

He also won the CBSE State Kalaprathibha title for two consecutive years (2013 and 2014) and has won first prize for Light Music in State School Youth Festival 2017 held at Kannur, Kerala.

He was the third runner up of the second season of Indian Idol Junior in 2015.

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan was amazed by the talent of the young musical wonder when he attended the show, during the promotions of his film Jab Harry Met Sejal.

Following a lot of banter and witty conversations, Vaishnav managed to lift SRK, just like how a hero lifts a heroine in many of those Bollywood movies. This was a quirky experience for one and all, and has been trending topic of discussion online.
