Rome, Dec. 6, 2018: Pope Francis has put his white Lamborghini sports car up for raffle a second time after the final bidder at a previous charity auction in May failed to pay the agreed $800,000 price.

This time the custom-built Lamborghini Huracán coupé will be up for grabs in a public raffle, with a minimum donation of $10 required to enter the competition which is also an online fundraising campaign.

The winner will be flown to Rome and will receive the keys to the white Lamborghini, which has gold stripes and sports the autograph of Pope Francis, at a private ceremony in the company of the pontiff and the head of Lamborghini, Stefano Domenicali.

Proceeds will go towards rebuilding villages “that have been devastated by violence and war, assist victims of human trafficking, provide medical care and education to those living in poverty”, distributed through Charities Aid Foundation of America.

The luxury car had originally been a gift from Lamborghini to Pope Francis in November 2017.
