Vailodam, Dec 17, 2018: The Vincentian Kerala Society, the social service wing of Congregation of Mission (CM) priests, South Indian Province, Mysore, has built 15 houses of recent devastating flood victims in Kerala.
“Houses are getting ready for the flood victims in Kerala. The target of constructing 15 houses for the most deserving people who went through the traumatic experience of flood is nearing completion. May the good Lord revive and invigorate the victims flood with His everlasting love,” said Vincentian Father Davis Kachappilly, director, Vincentian Kerala Society.
Most houses for the flood victim are in Vailodam, North Pravoor, Kerala.

Kerala, South India faced the deluge of the century in August last. Around 500 people died in the flood. More than US $ 20 billion worth of property and infrastructure got damaged. It will take years for Kerala to recover from this flood.
In December 2017 an unprecedented cyclone named Okhi hit Kerala. More than 250 people were killed and some 550 people are still missing.
