Guwahati, Feb. 22, 2019: The International Pilgrimage Revolution opened its first office in northeastern India on February 21 at Ullubari, Guwahati, Assam’s commercial capital.

Archbishop John Moolachira of Guwahati blessed and Allen Brooks, former chairperson of the Minorities Commission of Assam, inaugurated the office.

The international travel organization has offices in many major cities of India and abroad.

With its inauguration, the IPR is looking at promoting the tourism opportunities of North East India so that people from India and abroad can experience the beauty, culture and spirit of the region, said Bishop George Pallipparambil of Miao, the person instrumental in bringing IPR to this region.

“It is a well-studied move we have made and we hope to give the much needed exposure to North East to the rest of the world” said Sarita, the manager of the IPR’s Ullubari office.
