Bhubaneswar, Feb 18, 2019: A Jesuit University in Bhubaneswar, Eastern Indian State Odisha, is set to hold Artificial Intelligence (AI) Summit on Feb 23, the first of its kind in India.

Xavier University Bhubaneswar (XUB) wishes to set new directions and applications in Artificial Intelligence.

Xavier AI Summit is the first of its kind in the nation and the first in a series looking at the scientific, industrial, and societal facets of the new AI revolution.

Dr. B. Krishna Murthy, senior director, Ministry of Electronics and IT, Government of India will be the keynote speaker.

Other speakers include Prof. Priyadarshan Patra, Dean, School of Computer Science and Enggering (XUB), Prof. Mrinal Pandey (Manav Rachna University), Dr. Karthik Sankaranarayanan (senior research Scientist and Research Manager, IBM Research), Prof. Sanghamitra Mohanty (Professor, Computer Science) and Dr. Hemant Darbari, director general, Department of Information Technology, Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Government of India.

XUB sees itself as an emerging world class university delivering quality education in the field of Management, Commerce, Economics, Communication, Law and Engineering to students from the world over.

The Xavier University came into being with the Government of Odisha passing the Xavier University Act in June 2013. It has many academic schools including the Xavier Institute of Management Bhubaneswar), a premier world class B-School in the country.
