Miao, June 23, 2019: The Christian schools in Arunachal Pradesh on June 21 joined the 5th International Yoga Day celebrations.

“Yoga has a lot to offer. In these times of everything instantaneous, Yoga is a great way to manage stress and discover peace,” said Sister Anima, headmistress of Newman School Neotan in Changlang district.

While explaining the celebrations to the children, she said the purpose of Yoga is to discover peace within and acknowledge the existence of God in others.

“The world will be a lot better place to live in, if only we are able to channelize our energy within and to respect and love others as they are,” said Sister Anima before leading the children to the celebrations.

The teachers and students of all the Christian schools showed enthusiasm to be part of the day. “Why should our children be deprived of being a part of an international event?” said Moses Wangsa, a Physical Education teacher.

The Auxiliam School in Namphai 2 in Changalang district had Yoga Day celebrations immediately after the morning assembly and Junem Langching led the children with Common Yoga Protocol provided by the federal Ministry of Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani Siddha and Homeopathy.

Most Christian schools in Arunachal Pradesh participated in the 5th International Yoga Day celebrations.
