Panaji: Young women politicians, film-stars and entrepreneurs from India are attending a five-day Women Economic Forum that started in Goa on Thursday.
The summit offers a platform to brainstorm gender issues. It will also deliberate on the way forward for women as equal partners in global society, reports her.yourstory.com.
An initiative by All Ladies League (ALL), the event will have 130 sessions and more than 300 delegates. They include over 100 women from Canada, China, France, Israel, Korea, Morocco, Pakistan, Philippines, Poland, Singapore, UK, USA and Zambia, ALL global chairperson Dr Harbeen Arora said.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, federal Minister for Women and Child development Maneka Gandhi, ambassador of Turkey Burak Akcapar, Bollywood actors Vidya Balan and Poonam Dhillon, film director Madhur Bhandarkar, and former IPS officer Kiran Bedi are among those expected at the meet.
