Jesuit college in eastern India organized programs to help its students deal with academic stress. St. Xavier’s College and St. Xavier’s College of Management and Technology jointly organized two educative programs on campus for their students. The Academic Committee conducted a counselling session on “How to Deal with Academic Stress.” An trained counsellor Paromita Saha was the Resource Person for the interactive session that clicked well with the students. The Social Awareness Committee organized a workshop in partnership with Bihar Renewable Energy Development Authority (BREDA) to help people make daily choices to instil a green code of discipline in the community. BREDA’s “Energy Conservation Drive” aims to sensitize the youth about alternative and renewable energy choices for a more intelligent and clean environment in Patna. The resource persons for the session were Project Managers (Solar) Surendra Kumar and Chandan Prakash. The students said they not only enjoyed the sessions but gained general knowledge about the sources of renewable energy as well as the green choices that everyone can implement in daily life.
