Thiruvananthapuram: The Latin Catholics Diocese on Saturday said it hopes the talk held with Chief Minister regarding the Vizhinjam port project is moving in the right direction.
A spokesperson of the diocese said CM gave a patient hearing to their grievances and added that they are expecting a favourable decision.
The CM held the discussion on Saturday to pacify the Latin Catholics Diocese after it threatened to announce protest on the day of signing the contract, reported Mathrubhumi.
Prior to this, Chief Secretary Jiji Thomson, along with Vizhinjam Ports CEO Santosh Mohapatra, had hold discussion with Archbishop Susaipakiyam on Friday.
