Aurangabad: In a unique way, the debt-ridden farmers were up inarms seeking permission to auction their organs like kidney and eyes to repay their mounting debt at historic Kranthi chowk here today.
Jayaji Suryawanshi state president of Annadata Farmers organisation gathered at Kranthi chowk and held their unique agitation of auction the human organs like Renal and eyes agitation by raising slogans against the government, who are not taking action against the finance companies who are recovering heavy interest from the farmers resulting number of farmers were committed suicides due to mounting debt of banks and finance companies, Webindia123 reported.
As the state government is not ready to waive off the loan of farmers, so there was no alternative other than auctioning their organs to repay the loan amounts to banks and finance companies.
”We are ready to sell kidney for Rs three lakh, eye for Rs 1 lakh and the whole body for Rs five lakh,” they added.
Following severe drought condition in the region more than 1,000 farmers allegedly committed suicides this year.
