New Delhi: India’s Human Resources Development Minister Smriti Irani escaped unhurt from a road accident on Saturday.
The minister’s convoy was caught in a car pile-up following an accident on the Yamuna Expressway that links Agra and New Delhi. Irani was on her way to Delhi.
The minister’s car crashed into a police vehicle in the front that was a part of her convoy.
In a series of tweets following the accident, Irani informed of her well-being and thanked people for their concern.
The minister, who will turn 40 on March 23, said that she ensured the people injured in the accident were taken to a hospital and thanked others for helping out.
