Dimapur: Heavy rains, thunderstorms and hailstorms in the region has caused many areas to be inundated and many roads blocked in different parts of Nagaland.
Hundreds of people were rendered homeless in various part of Nagaland, while flash flood in Tuli area caused the river Milak to overflow the danger mark and submerged vast areas.
Multiple landslides caused road blockade near Telangsao hydro project while the Tobu-Mon road was blocked due to the landslide at Desang river area and power supply to Mopung and Yakshu circle has been completely cut-off. Property and houses were also damaged in the area though no loss of lives was reported.
Residents of Tuli town had a tough time with flash floods submerging the area and greately damaging crops and property, Northeast Today reported.
Meanwhile, an official of the Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA) said the department was taking stock of the situation and was at hand to intervene any time if the need arises
