Miao: A campaign to fight substance abuse by the young people of Miao diocese in northeastern India entered eleventh day on June 6.
The two-week campaign is the second in a serious of such programs organized by Inter Collegiate Youth Association of Miao in collaboration with Arunachal Pradesh Women Welfare Society.
The current program is being conducted at Miao sub division of Changlang entered.
The campaign began with a marathon race flagged off by Miao circle officer Namrata Bhatt on June 26.
The campaign aims to create awareness on harmful effects of drugs abuse and addiction among the students as majority of the youths in the district are becoming victims of drugs.
In total, students of 11 schools of Miao, Namphai and Kharsang are participating in the campaign.
The awareness campaign includes visiting of school, motivational rally, inter-school games and sports, art and literary and cultural competitions
