Jacqueline is one of the busiest actress in B-town but now she is looking for something more.

This year has been a busy year for you.

I know! Three movies back to back! It’s been very exciting because last year all I have been doing is focus on these films and the music videos, and now I am feeling a little bit sad that it’s kind of coming to an end now since A Flying Jatt is my last release this year. But I am immediately going into shooting my next film with Sidharth Malhotra and after that there’s Tarun Mansukani’s film … so in a way it’s going to continue.

Why did you choose a superhero film where a girl is only brought in as the romantic lead?

First of all, I was very excited that a superhero film is begin made. Growing up, I loved watching superhero films, Disney characters, fairytales, fantasies; and it was my dream to be a part of these films. Even in a superhero film, we would always see a love interest of the superhero. She was always this simple, normal girl next door. I always use to feel: ‘That girl is so lucky a superhero has fallen in love with her. When A Flying Jatt was offered to me, I was very kicked about the fact that I was getting to work with Remo D’Souza and Tiger Shroff. I was also getting this chance to be a character that has been a childhood dream of mine.

You have been in the industry for seven years now. Do you think you are now able to carry a film on your shoulders?

Definitely. I think now more than ever is the time. It’s something that used to scare me a lot before. Earlier, fewer female-oriented films were made. There were a couple of female-oriented scripts that came my way but there was no guarantee that they would do well and secondly it was more about the actor you were working with and as an actor for me it was always a safer route to take commercial film work with big actors. So that was the route that I always would take because it’s so risky to break the stereotype and the rules.

But now so many people are doing such films that it’s given me some confidence as well. Also now I feel I have enough experience, I have been in front of the camera enough times and now I understand how it works. I have learnt it all. I feel a huge improvement in myself. I have enough confidence to take on more. Now I really hope that I get to take on something more challenging.

Would you be keen on doing a biopic?

Hmmm…Yes I would be. Growing up, one of my biggest inspirations was Mother Teresa. I just feel that there is so much to tell about her story. So I would love to do a biopic on Mother Teresa.

Are you hungry for roles that would exploit your acting potential?

Now I am … before I wasn’t so much because it was a very different situation.
