Jamshedpur: Thousands of primary school students in East Singhbhum had to return home without attending most classes on Wednesday as para-teachers once again went on an indefinite strike, demanding regularisation of services, Rs 20,000 as minimum salary and other perks, reported The Telegraph.
They started an agitation on Aambagan grounds in front of Rajasthan Vidya Mandir, Jamshedpur. We know classes are being hampered, but we have no other choice,” he said.
A senior education official said they ran classes by deputing regular teachers. “Schools in rural areas were conducted. Hopefully the issue will be resolved soon,” he said.
