The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is going raw on the Islamic preacher Zakir Naik. The NIA has filed a chargesheet against Zakir Naik on Thursday. He has been booked on the issue of manifesting the terror activities and mongering the hate speeches among the youth.
In July, the NIA had requested the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) to revoke the passport of the Islamic preacher under the provision of the passport act, 1967. Mr. Naik was issued the notice for three times by NIA, but he didn’t show up for the investigations. On the note, the NIA special court issued the non-bailable warrant against the Islamic preacher on April 21.
In the series of events against the preacher, the NIA registered a criminal case against Naik at its Mumbai branch under the Sections 153A of Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Sections 10, 13 and 18 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967 on November 18, 2016.

Zakir Naik terms Islam as the best religion. In an interview, he said, “the Quran says that Islam is the best religion.
