Mumbai: Around 300 people on December 17 attended the pre-Christmas concert conducted by Pauline Choir of Mumbai.
the Daughters of St Paul performed for their neighbors and friends, many of them people of other religions, at the residence of in Bandra, a Mumbai suburb. The members of three Pauline congregations in the western India city also attended the program.
Sister Caroline Dua, who is locally popular as the nightingale of the Daughters of St Paul because of her melodious voice, conducted the concert.
Sister Mary Joseph, superior of the residence, said they used to conduct Christmas programs for different groups separately every year. “This year the Holy Spirit prompted us to prepare a quality program for all the groups together,” she added.
The nuns’ formation team created “Living Crib.”
Six obese sisters dressed up as Santa Clause and cheered the crowd.
Some non-Christians in the audience expressed happiness that they came to know more about the birth of Christ through this concert.
