Kochi: The ‘Satyadeepam’ publication, published from Kochi by the Catholic parishes’ Ernakulam archdiocese has come to the fore criticising the Syro Malabar parish in connection with their real estate deals.
The editorial of the current issue of the publication has sought the Syro Malabar parish to confess to the lapse in their real estate deals. It adds that the confessions by the Popes of the past to their mistakes have only helped in improving the image of the parishes.
It also says that it is not right to try to hide anything in the name of protecting the image of the parish when all people with average intelligence already knows about what have happened.
The editorial further says that the appointment of a committee including five priests to investigate the issue is praise worthy. It also says that this committee must prove to help in making confessions, take further actions, and a joint effort to rectify the damages caused.
