Kochi: The archdiocese has made its stance clear in the controversial Ernakulam Angamaly archdiocese land deal.
In Satyadeepam, a weekly newspaper published by the Syro Malabar Church, it urged the followers to proceed upholding Christ and truth.
In the column ‘Varikalkidayil’ (between the lines), the last few lines of the article titled ‘Sudaryadayum Francis Marpappayum’ (Transperancy and Pope Francis) talks about the land deal, Mathrubhumi reported.
It explains that issues could be resolved if one proceeds upholding Christ and truth. The article primarily talks about the measures Pope took in times of financial corruption allegations against Vatican. Pope made every detail public and regained the trust of the people, it adds.
Earlier the Priests Council submitted a letter to the Church Synod to discuss the land deal issues in the synod which commenced on Monday.
