Poland, May 28, 2019: The Congregation of the Sons of Divine Providence in Poland has ordained a seminarian who is sick with cancer.
31-year-old Michał Łos was diagnosed with an acute form of cancer one month ago. A graduate of the Major Seminary of Saint Luigi Orione, Michal desperately wanted to receive the sacrament of Holy Orders and celebrate at least one Mass before he loses his battle to cancer.
His dream came true on May 24, when Auxiliary Bishop Marek Solarczyk of the Warsaw-Praga diocese visited him in the hospital.
With Pope Francis’ prior approval, the bishop ordained the seminarian in his hospital bed, first to the diaconate and to then to the priesthood.
Fr. Michał later thanked the public for their prayers and gave a blessing.
