Guwahati, Jan 20, 2020: A Mumbai-based NGO collaborated with Directorate of Sainik Welfare in Assam to donate laptops to daughters of Veer Naris (Defense martyrs’ daughters) in the northeastern Indian state.
Atharva Foundation on January 20 distributed 13 laptops to the daughters at a function in Guwahati.
Sunil Rane, chairman of Atharva Foundation and his colleague Deepak Rane were present with Col Sudhir Raje at the function.
The Atharva Foundation aims to look after the not-so-privileged sections of society.
The foundation aims to bring about a positive change in the lives of the less fortunate people of India. The aim behind donating the laptops is to support the Girl Child of Defense Martyrs to facilitate them in education and in digital learning for better career in life, Rane explained.
The function was held at Sainik Bhawan, Guwahati. The team of Atharva Foundation also visited some of the veer Nari’s houses in Kamrup District of the state.
