Dimapur, Jan 19, 2020: The Indian Blind Football Federation (IBFF) will conduct the first training camp for blind footballers in Nagaland at the Don Bosco School ground, Dimapur on February 14.

It will also conduct the fourth edition of North East Zone Regional Blind Football Tournament in collaboration with State Commissioner Disabilities, Nagaland and Prodigals Home, Dimapur from February 14 to 16 with teams from Mizoram, Meghalaya, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Assam, Nagaland and a team from West Bengal.

The organizers also plan to conduct a women’s blind football demo game on February 16.

IBFF is an independent body promoting the sport of football amongst the visually challenged in the country and is affiliated to the Paralympic Committee of India. IBFF has been developing grass-root level blind football players and awareness camps across the country. Blind football is a 5-a-side game played in a futsal ground

The event at Dimapur will have IBSA recognized national level referees officiating the games.
