Indore, March 14, 2020: The Hindi section of the Catholic Church-run Radio Veritas Asia (RVA) celebrated its golden jubilee at Satprakashan Sanchar Kendra, Indore, Madhya Pradesh.

The two-day joyous festival began on March 14.

A documentary based on 50 years of travel to RVA, Manila, the Philippines was presented on the occasion.

The Federation of the Asian Bishops’ Conferences (FABC) established RVA as the non-commercial Catholic shortwave station broadcasting to Asia in 1969.

RVA deals with 18 languages of Asia including Hindi, Telegu and Bengali.

Speaking on the occasion, Father George Plathottam, executive secretary, FABC Office of Social Communication, said, “The main objective of RVA is to advance life on human values and spirituality by inspiring more people to move in the path of truth by giving life, and programs that make life happy.”

Starting with old technology, today RVA is advancing Indian culture, environmental awareness and spirituality through new technology.

The producers and the audience were then greeted by shawl and memento.

RVA has given inspiration to bring the voice of truth into human life while giving programs on various aspects of people’s lives in the last 50 years, said Father Jomon, a member of the Hindi section of RVA.

He motivated the general public to follow the path of love and brotherhood.
