New Delhi, June 25, 2020: A 16-year-old girl who had a large number of followers on social media platforms Instagram and TikTok was found dead at her home in Delhi, the police said June 25. The police have confirmed suicide.
The teen lived with her family. She was found dead in her room around 9 pm on June 24 night.
No suicide note was found, the police say.
The teen had more than 1.1 million followers on TikTok and reportedly last posted a dance video on Instagram six days ago.
The tragic case has emerged nearly two weeks after actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death left the country in shock.
The TikTok star’s residence is in Preet Vihar, New Delhi. She was active on all the online platforms like TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat and YouTube and was known for her dance videos.
She had a large following on all these platforms. She also had more than 104,000 followers on Instagram.
On June 14, Rajput was found dead at his home in Mumbai. The news of the actor’s death sent shock waves across the nation. He was just 34 when he ended his life and was suffering from depression for the past six months.
