New Delhi, July 8, 2020: A Salesian technical school has been awarded the best vocation training institute in Delhi.
The award was set up by by Praxis Media, one of India leading media and marketing groups, in association with Education Connect that brings together hundreds of schools, thousands of programs and millions of matches across the globe.
The National Education Excellence Awards, given at a function on June 30, honors institutions for epitomizing strength, ingenuity, knowledge and foresight for the growth of the education sector with vision and inspiration.
Don Bosco Technical Institute at Okhla, a suburb in South Delhi, was awarded the ‘Best Vocational Training Institute in Delhi.’ The award recognizes the contributions of Don Bosco Technical Institute in the education sector in India and celebrates creativity, innovative initiatives, effectiveness, exemplary work and the level of excellence.
Established in 1971, Don Bosco Technical Institute is an ISO 9001 certified, placement driven and skill training Institute. Father Joseph Chittattukalam, the director affirms that the institute seeks to accompany the young to seek and find work by making them self-reliant and socially responsible citizens of the country.
With its motto “Learn a Trade, Earn a Living’, the institute mainstreams the youth into the organized job market through market driven skill development interventions. The course modules are designed cwith industry inputs to keep in tune with the changing demands of the market.
The institute has experience in technical education and the state of art facilities designed and updated by Brother Cyriac Kurias. Its students come mostly from northern India, especially the less privileged.
