Bengaluru: A Catholic parish in Bengaluru has collaborated with the local Lions Club to distribute auto partitions to help protest their passengers from Covid-19.

Fr Aloysius Santiago, Parish Priest, Don Bosco Church, said he had found most autorikshaw drivers not practicing the government order to install a partition to separate passengers and drivers.

“When asked some drivers, they told me that they struggled to make both ends meet,” the priest told Matters India.

Father Santiago looked around for support and Lions Club Bangalore (LCB) Pyramid accepted his proposal for get partitions for the poor auto drivers.

Some local people extended moral support by being present during the distribution of 15 auto partitions at a brief function on December 5in front of the church at Lingarajpuram, a northern suburb of Bengaluru, capital of Karnataka state.
