Secunderabad: The Medigate Consumer Portal is the latest initiative of the Catholic Health Association of India (CHAI) to help its member institutions improve customer services and income.

The initiative is undertaken in collaboration with Intent Health, a leading healthcare public relations agency based in the United Kingdom for providing communication strategies for clients within medical industries.

The Medigate Consumer Portal is an easy way to have an interactive digital presence, claims CHAI director general Redemptorist Father Mathew Abraham.

The priest, who is a also a doctor, says the portal will particularly help CHAI member who only have a website but have not set up an online appointment booking system.

The portal will allow such members to showcase their services and enables patients to schedule appointments. Many members already use the Medigate Common Procurement Portal to help reduce costs, Father Abraham explained March 10.

Using the portal, the members can promote their digital presence to their own patients for easy access, repeated visits and customer loyalty. As part of the pilot phase, the association has enlisted a limited number of hospitals. However, because of the early responses, they intend their efforts to the entire network.

“We hope to have at least 50 percent of CHAI member institutions on board in the coming months and seek enthusiastic response for the same,” Father Abraham added.
