Bengaluru, Nov 20, 2023: In the evolving communication landscape, BOSCOM South Asia communication sector organized a conference in the southern Indian city of Bengaluru.
The conference, held November 17 – 19, marking the 30th year of BOSCOM foundation had 35 delegates from 11 provinces and commission members, and lay people involved in communication ministry.
The Regional councilor for South Asia, Father Biju Pulianmackal, provincials of Bangalore and Chennai addressed the gathering.
In his keynote address, Registrar of Christ University, Bangalore, Father Anil Pinto, focused on digital literacy in early education to develop critical thinking, responsible media usage, online safety, empathy and social responsibility.
The conference had experts from the theater, digital faith ministry, artificial intelligence, digital art merchandise ministry, online music ministry, and branding services.
BOSCOM South Asia Delegate Father Ernest Rosario and Bangalore Province delegate Father Dickson Eugene facilitated the meeting.
The assembly proposed to collaborate with young people who are into digital ministry and formulate a resource kit for digital well-being for Salesian Family members including teachers and students.
