Sambalpur, Aug 6, 2024: A priest of Sambalpur diocese on Odisha state died due to complications from a dog bite he suffered two months ago.

Father Thomas Tete died August 5 at his uncle’s house in Dandjomra, a village under Kusumdegi parish.

The 48-year-old priest was the assistant priest of Bodmal parish and headmaster of ME Mission there.

His burial is to take place July 6 Bishop’s House, Ainthapali, Sambalpur, some 275 km northwest of Bhubaneswar, the state capital.

“We extend the heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew him. May his soul rest in eternal peace,” says a condolence message from the diocese.

  1. In deed very sad… to know that some one dies of dog bite complications in 21st century. We need to pay more attention by taking necessary procedures and take care of our health. May he rest in peace.
