Siliguri Nov 16, 2025: A student team from Salesian College Siliguri staged a live demonstration of their heart attack prediction software at Rozgar Mela (Employment Fare) 2.0.
Harsh Vardhan Shringla, a member of the Rajya Sabha, who witnessed the November 16 demonstration at Siliguri, a town in West Bengal’s northern region, applauded the young developers and encouraged them to patent their work. The Bharatiya Janata Party politician also recommended launching a start-up dedicated to serving humanity.
The software was built from scratch by first-year Bachelor of Computer Applications Tribal students in collaboration with the Radio Club’s tech members. Designed to analyse health data and predict potential risks of cardiac arrest, the software represents their major product achievement.
The core development team was led by Anand Kumar (founder), supported by Ronish Minj (backend expert), Othniel Samuel (designer), and Rahul Kumar Sah (logistics). Each brought unique strengths to the project, shaping it into a working prototype that blends innovation with compassion, the founder said.
