Siliguri, Feb 14, 2026 — The Radio Club of Salesian College Autonomous, Siliguri, West Bengal, marked its first anniversary with the launch of a digital public platform designed to give individuals an accessible space for expression.

The launch of Open Stage went live on February 12, the eve of World Radio Day.

Anand Kumar, a master’s student who designed radioclubstage.netlify.app App, says the app requires no formal membership.,

Radio Club director Salesian Father C.M. Paul said the digital microphone is for anyone who has never been handed one before.

The theme of this year’s World Radio Day was Radio and Artificial Intelligence: AI is a tool, not a voice. It underscored the growing role of artificial intelligence in the broadcasting ecosystem.

The Radio Club was established on February 13, 2025, under Fr. Paul’s direction and co-founded by Anand Kumar and Ali Moizuddin. Over the past year, it has produced structured podcast programming, hosted Creative Canvas — a monthly platform for artistic expression — and contributed to campus media initiatives. It has also implemented a structured leadership and recognition system, including weekly contributor awards and annual excellence awards.
