Mumbai, March 3, 2026: Don Bosco Tech India, known for two decades of youth power empowerment, has won the Gold Award for Excellence in SkillTech and Career Solutions.

The Economic Times TechEdu India Awards 2026 were presented on February 28 at a ceremony in Mumbai. The award citation hailed the New Delhi-based Salesian institute’s pioneering role in blending technology with vocational training to transform marginalized young people in the country.

Don Bosco Tech Society executive director Father George Mathew, who received the award, termed the honor as “a testament to the resilience and dedication of our trainers, partners, and the thousands of young people who trusted us with their future.”

Founded 20 years ago in New Delhi’s Okhla area, Don Bosco Tech India has trained more than 482,000 youth nationwide, with 72 percent placement rate. Its programs focus on marginalized communities, blending vocational training with technology-driven solutions to meet the demands of India’s evolving workforce.

“This recognition celebrates our journey of skilling with a heart,” said Father Mathew. “We are not just imparting technical skills; we are opening doors to dignity, livelihood, and hope for young people who might otherwise be left behind.”
