New Delhi, April 29, 2026: Church leaders in northern India are training youth to use digital media responsibly and to be empowered in social awareness, constitutional rights, and interfaith harmony.
SVD Sadbhavana Delhi, the Divine Word center that serves as a hub for formation, training, dialogue, and social initiatives, particularly focusing on youth, organized a ten-day program, “Empowering Youth for Digital Citizenship & Social Harmony.”
The event, held April 19–28, brought together 22 participants from Bihar, Chandigarh, Jalandhar, Jammu & Kashmir, Delhi, and Faridabad.
The initiative combined creativity, learning, and spiritual growth. Sessions included social awareness, environmental responsibility, photography, graphic design, artificial intelligence, critical thinking, media production, and social media advocacy.
Some experts addressed social rights and discrimination awareness, while others emphasized unity and care for creation. They also guided participants in practical skills — photography, Canva design, AI tools such as OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google, and studio production techniques.
Participant Arati from Vikaspuri described the program as “a transformative learning experience,” noting it strengthened her confidence to “create meaningful and impactful content” and to “raise awareness, inspire positive change, and contribute towards the development and empowerment of my community.”
The program concluded with renewed commitment to responsible digital engagement, leadership, and faith-driven social responsibility.
