Patna: A trained cancer surgeon from Germany, who is in India to work among the poor, says the cure for the dreaded illness lies in nature.
Allopathic medicine’s prohibitive costs and virulent side-effects can lead to fresh problems whereas natural or herbal medicine’s scope is endless since it is not just cost effective but also harmless, Dr. Felicitas Roelofsen from Nuess asserted Wednesday while addressing a group of students and teachers of St Xavier’s College in Patna, capital of Bihar state.
The German also explained that vegetables such as drumstick, cinnamon and garlic can work wonders for cancer patients.
Through PowerPoint presentation, she explained the natural medicine’s efficacy and curative potential.
Roelofsen has worked as a cancer specialist at a private hospital in Essen, Germany, where she gave chemotherapy only to those who needed it.
She talked about the exciting vista of new research in the field of natural medicine and biotechnology which has the potential to redress the poor man’s treatment.
Archana Jha, a student of the English Department, said she found the German’s talk engaging and informative. She said Roelofsen’s passion and commitment to her profession kept the audience spellbound.
