Bengaluru: The Karnataka Jesuit Province will offer free online programs on Pope Francis’ latest new encyclical “Fratelli Tutti” (All Brother) for two months.
The virtual programs that include recollections and retreats are joint ventures for retreat houses and spirituality centers of the province, said Jesuit Prashanth D’Souza, coordinator for an online program.
It was a felt need for priests and nuns to have spiritual inputs in terms of recollection talks, weekend seminars, and advent retreat based on the new encyclical, he added.
The Karnataka Jesuit Province is responding to people’s requests and organizes the following online programs for the coming two months.
Recollection talks on reflections on “Fratelli Tutti” will be on Nov 6 at 6 pm. The preacher is Jesuit Father Joseph Lobo, while Jesuit Father Freddie D’Silva will preach a recollection on “Advent in times of pandemic” on Dec 5 at 6 pm.
Jesuit Father Lawrence Fernandes will reach the Advent retreat from December 14 to 22.
“Fratelli Tutti” is the third encyclical of Pope Francis, subtitled “on fraternity and social friendship.” It was released on October 5.
