Tej-Prasarini unveils Jubilate Jesus, Volume 2

Mumbai, July 4, 2025 – After the resounding success of Jubilate Jesus, Volume 1—launched on New Year’s Day 2025 with vivacious Jubilee Anthem—Tej-Prasarini, Don Bosco Communications, officially released Volume 2 in honour of the 2025th Jubilee of Jesus’ birth, on July 3.

The event held in the auditorium of Don Bosco High School, Matunga was graced by chief guest, Auxiliary Bishop Dominic Savio Fernandes of Mumbai, the Provincial of the Mumbai Province Fr. Savio Silveira and several other dignitaries.

The album opens with Tej-Prasarani anthem, You Are the Light of the World, this new volume encapsulates the very identity and mission of Tej-Prasarini—“Tej” meaning light, and “Prasarini” meaning to radiate. Staying true to its name, the production centre continues to spread the Light of Christ through music and media, inviting people of faith and goodwill to walk in His footsteps.

The dual-volume initiative, released within the same Jubilee year, springs from a deep pastoral desire: to keep Jesus at the heart of every thought, word, action, and relationship throughout this spiritual milestone.

“These songs are more than melodies—they are meditations,” said Director of Tej-Prasarini Salesian Fr. Joyston Machado. “Each track is crafted to help listeners encounter Jesus in a deeply personal and joyful way.”

Educational and entirely non-profit in spirit, the hymns are a multilingual gift to the global Church. Many tracks have been translated into English from Italian, Korean, and Portuguese, with kind permission from the original composers—each credited appropriately. Rights to all compositions and lyrics remain with their respective copyright holders.

Project Coordinator and Translator Salesian Fr. Peter Gonsalves, added, “We wanted to offer something that would resonate across cultures and generations. The translations and arrangements were done with great care to preserve the spirit of the originals while making them accessible to a wider audience.”

Tej-Prasarini extends its sincere gratitude to the Salesian Province of Mumbai for unwavering support, especially Salesian Provincial of Mumbai Fr. Savio Silveira, and his Council, whose guidance has been instrumental.

Track highlights of volume 2 include The Light of the World – A call to shine with Christ’s radiance; Who Do You Say I Am? – A stirring invitation to personal encounter. Anointed for Humanity – Reflecting Mary’s silent, sacrificial path; Lord, My God, I Walked a Weary Way – A lament echoing the voices of the elderly. The Beatitudes – A melodic roadmap to spiritual joy; and A Prayer for India – A deeply felt intercession for the nation

“We hope these hymns become companions on the journey of faith,” said Jay Franco, who compiled the music score. “They’re meant to be sung, shared, and lived.”

The entire collection is a celebration of light, diversity, and divine love. Tej-Prasarini continues its mission to proclaim the Good News through meaningful music and media.
