Technical and Hands-on Education being provided by Don Bosco Technical Institute (DBTI) Park Circus and its other centres Career in West Bengal, provide a very good livelihood to those who complete its courses. During a Career Guidance Programme organised by Catholic Teachers’ Guild in Don Bosco Park Circus on 9th August 2025, Fr Joseph Podimattam, Director of DBTI, the courses at DBTI, especially the three-year ITI course, offer assured career opportunities with excellent salaries not only in India but also overseas, especially in Germany for Christian students. He advised Catholic students consider hands-on technical education as an alternative to conventional educational graph for example Class X, Class XI to graduation to Masters, etc. He lamented most of the facilities are being utilised by non-Christian students, and very few Christians realise the uplifting impact of a technical course.
